Fight, Level, and EXP Guide
Level
Leveling is important! As you go up in levels, your fighting abilities will also go up, and you get to add stats to your character. With each level up, you get 5 stats to spend as you like. Eventually, you can earn titles too for reaching certain level milestones.Experience
Gaining EXP is how you level up. Each level has a different EXP requirement to level up. EXP is earned through explore encounters and fights.
Here's the EXP requirements for the first 10 levels, to show you examples:
lvl 1 = 100 EXP
lvl 2 = 300 EXP
lvl 3 = 500 EXP
lvl 4 = 700 EXP
lvl 5 = 1000 EXP
lvl 6 = 1300 EXP
lvl 7 = 1600 EXP
lvl 8 = 1900 EXP
lvl 9 = 2100 EXP
lvl 10 = 2500 EXP
In case you didn't notice the pattern, from level 1 to 4, the EXP needed is the previous level + 200, then from level 5 to 9 it is 300, and then level 10 to 14 would be 400 more, 15-20 would be 500 more, and so on.
If this were Algebra class, the equation would be something like this:
a = previous level requirement
b = level group requirement
c = current level requirement
a + b = c
Each level group requirement goes up 100 EXP each time. 1-4 is 200. 5-9 is 300. 10-14 is 400. 15-19 is 500. 20-24 is 600. And you get the point.
EXP does not carry over. So once you've hit 100 and leveled up, your EXP will go back to 0. However, extra EXP does carry over. So let's say you had 112 EXP, the extra 12 EXP would carry over into level 2.

Fight Guide
Fighting happens when an explore encounter turns hostile.
When a fight starts, you and the staff member handling your explore trip will use the dice roll feature to determine how the fight goes. You always attack first, unless your character was ambushed. You'll have different attack moves or choices you can choose, the basics being "Slash", "Defend", or "Run". Run will always be there, and your success at running away is based on your Speed stat and random chance. Slash is based on Strength, and is done using your default Knife, which has a base attack of 5. If you have a better weapon that Slashes, it will be used instead. If your character is a beast race, other than Vixxen, Slash is replaced by "Claw", and has a base attack equal to your Strength stat. (I'll further explain beast race abilities in the Abilities Guide post.) Defend is based on Defense (obviously), and the higher the stat, the higher success of weakening the enemy's attack. For example, a Defense stat of 5 will deflect about 2HP of damage, where 10 will deflect about 5HP.
[b]Health[/b
Watching your health in a fight is very important. If it drops to 0, your character dies, no "ifs", "ands", or "buts". Your health regenerates completely after each explore trip, so as long as you avoid hitting zero, you'll be fine.
You get 100HP per level, so level 1 characters have 100HP, level 5 have 500HP, and so on.
You can find items while exploring that can heal you too, and you're able to use them in fights.
Random explore encounters can also damage your health.

Abilities Guide
Fae Races + Vixxen
Default Abilities
All Fae races and Vixxen start off with a "Knife" in their inventory. A better weapon can be found exploring randomly.
-Knife-
Slash: Base attack of 5 + 50% of Strength stat. (Odd numbers round down. So 9 strength is +4 not +5.)
-Defend-
As mentioned in the post above, this is purely based on your Defense stat. It will block 50% of your Defense stat. (Again, odd numbers round down.) There's a 10% chance of the enemy's attack completely failing.
Unlockable Abilities
-Knife-
Stab: Unlocks at lvl 5. Roll D 20 to determine damage. M.R.Blackthorn carried out 1 launched of one D 20 :
- 14
